It Started With a Simple Question
Freight technology has absorbed billions: load boards, TMS platforms, compliance databases. None of it could reliably answer a basic question:
'Who is that truck at my gate?'
Not who the paperwork says they are. Who are they actually? What's the real DOT number on their door? Is their insurance current? Is this the carrier the broker sent, or someone else?
Trapezoid started by putting cameras at facility gates and using computer vision to read what's physically written on every truck. From that first camera, we built the most comprehensive database of real-world vehicle observations in North America.
The PhotoFence™ Network now covers 35 million vehicle sightings, 8.8 million vehicle profiles, and more than a million carriers, anchored by what our sensors see at the gate. We serve facility operators who need automated gate management and freight stakeholders who need verified intelligence.
